Thank you for visiting our website! Vibration Manipulation is a rock-n-roll and blues based band producing mostly original material. Our music spans across a spectrum of genres including, but not limited to: blues. rock, jazz, funk, R&B, and soul. Our songs celebrate the good times in life, but also sometimes reflect the troubles and hardships that we all go through as humans. In light of this, we like to think that we offer a song for just about everyone to enjoy and appreciate. So, go have a listen and choose your favorite song(s). Our Story

The story starts in 1979. A freshman in high school, Kevin Sr. bought his first used drum set. He learned to play and was in a normal, everyday hard-rock cover band. Years went by with band after band, Kevin Sr. played parties, bars, and street fairs. Over the years, he developed into a singing drummer. Getting tired of doing covers, Kevin Sr. tried his hand at songwriting with some success. His band started playing a mix of original and cover songs. 

After fathering two daughters, Kevin Jr. was born. All of the kids grew up observing their father playing in one band or another. Eventually Kevin Jr. was the one who took an interest in a musical instrument. He started guitar lessons, but didn’t care much for the teacher. He was soon offered a job at a saxophone repair shop where he was also offered saxophone lessons and began learning the basics of the instrument. He was doing quite well. Meanwhile, he had picked up the guitar and taught himself some basic chords. He decided to switch to guitar lessons again and drop the saxophone lessons. After one guitar lesson, he decided he was learning more from the internet. From then on Kevin Jr. has been a self-taught musician, playing nearly everyday across a variety of instruments including guitar, drums, and keyboards. Kevin Jr. quickly acquired the skills to play with Kevin Sr. on some of his originals from years prior.  

Then Kevin Jr. talked Kevin Sr. into recording those originals – which marked the start of the first album. At that point, they got a group of musicians together and formed the band Vibration Manipulation. They started writing more songs and soon released the first album in August of 2018. A couple of years later, we released another album – most of which was recorded during the COVID-19 lockdown. We are currently writing and recording material for a third album that we hope to release by 2024. Stay tuned for updates!
